Made in our own plant

Cross-flow fans, end to end

Cross-flow fans are built in our own plant, on our own drawings, with our own moulds and impeller tooling. The sequence is blade insertion, roll riveting, dynamic balancing, assembly into the volute, then label and carton. Nothing in that chain leaves the building. The affiliated company registered at the same Yuyao address is the same house, not an outside subcontractor.

Motor winding, rotor press-fit and magnetising

The motor line covers four steps in sequence: automatic winding, coil insertion, inter-turn insulation test, and argon-arc welding of the lead wires. Rotor press-fit and magnetising run on the same floor. This process chain was audited during the 2021 ETL factory audit, so it is a route an auditor has already walked.

Built to our drawings elsewhere

The rest of the catalogue is not made on those two lines, and we will not pretend otherwise. Forward-curved AC, EC and DC blowers, backward-curved plug fans, DC blowers, gas and combustion blowers, commercial blowers, axial and duct fans, fan-coil units, and loose blower wheels are engineered and specified by LONGWELL, built to LONGWELL drawings in qualified partner plants, inspected to LONGWELL standards, then labelled and shipped under LONGWELL.

That split is the whole of our OEM blower manufacturing model, and for an OEM buyer it is a feature rather than a caveat. You are buying one drawing owner and one inspection standard. The drawing, the revision history, the balance grade, the test plan and the warranty sit with us, so a second-source decision inside our supply base does not become your engineering-change problem. Controls that apply to every line

The same controls apply whether a part is made here or to our drawing somewhere else. This is the list to test during an audit, because it is the list that protects you.

Air performance is tested to the AMCA 210 method. Sound is measured in a semi-anechoic room of 4.0 x 4.0 x 3.0 m, calibration report SSD202500326. Management systems are certified to ISO 9001 (BMCQ0222448M), ISO 14001 (BMCE0222279M) and ISO 45001 (BMCS0222232M), valid to 8 December 2028. Product approvals are scope-limited and we state the scope rather than the logo: the KTS CE certificates of 11 July 2022 (LVD KB2207084L01, EMC KB2207085E01, RoHS KB2207086R01) cover AC forward-curved LWFA108 to LWFA450 only, and Intertek ETL control number 5022563 covers part of the EC and DC centrifugal range as an ETL Recognized Component. Packing and dispatch

Blowers ship in corrugated dividers or moulded end caps, in your carton with your label and barcode, palletised and shrink-wrapped or crated for sea freight. Pack quantity follows your line feed, not ours.

Tooling and moulds

We own the cross-flow moulds and the impeller tooling used on our line, and we hold the drawings for the tooling used at partner plants. That matters at the end of a programme as much as at the start: the tool is tied to a LONGWELL drawing, so the part can be requoted without redesigning it.

A new wheel or volute is a tooling project, and the time splits in two. The engineering and prototype stage is short: drawing review, 3D model, then a machined or printed sample you can fit and test. Catalogue samples ship in 1 to 3 days. The steel mould is the long pole, and its lead time depends on diameter, cavity count and material, so we quote it against the drawing rather than publish one number. Before committing to a tool, check whether an existing wheel or volute already fits. Many do. Capacity, samples and lead time

Samples of catalogue models ship in 1 to 3 days. Production lead time is 15 to 30 days, driven by model, quantity, motor voltage, and whether moulded parts or sheet-metal tooling are involved. We do not publish per-line capacity figures, because a single number tells you nothing useful about your part in your month. Send the model, the annual volume and the delivery pattern, and you get a schedule for that part instead.

Auditing a China blower factory

Auditors are welcome, second or third party. To make the visit worth the flight, ask for these in advance and check them on the floor:

• The drawing and revision history for the part you buy, with the first article record against it.
• Balancing records and end-of-line test records traced to serial or batch, not a blank form.
• Which line the part runs on, here or at a partner plant, and the inspection standard applied there.
• Certificate scope in writing, including the model ranges that are outside a given certificate.
• Packaging and label proofs against your specification.
