Quality and Certifications

This is the certificate page for the site. Every other page links here. Below is what LONGWELL actually holds, with the number and the scope of each item, and a plain statement of what it does not cover. If you are building an approval file for your own product, work from this page and ask us for the document you need.

ISO 9001 · ISO 14001 · ISO 45001Management system certificates, valid to 8 December 2028
CE: LVD, EMC and RoHSKTS, 11 July 2022 — AC forward-curved LWFA108 to LWFA450 only
ETL Recognized ComponentIntertek control number 5022563 — part of the EC and DC range, inside the report’s model rules

One note on scope before the numbers. Cross-flow fan production and the motor winding line run in our own plant in Yuyao. The other families are engineered and specified by LONGWELL, built to LONGWELL drawings in qualified partner plants, and inspected to LONGWELL standards. The test and inspection rules on this page apply either way. The sourcing statement in full is on the home page, and the project steps are at OEM process.

Management system certificates

Three certificates, valid to 8 December 2028.

StandardCertificate numberValid to

These cover the management system. They are not a product approval and cannot be used as one.

Product safety and EMC: the CE set

KTS (Shenzhen) issued three certificates to Ningbo Longwell on 11 July 2022:

  • LVD: KB2207084L01
  • EMC: KB2207085E01
  • RoHS: KB2207086R01

Scope: AC forward-curved blowers, LWFA108 to LWFA450 only. See the range on the forward-curved squirrel cage blower page.

What is outside that scope

  • LWFA455 and LWFA500 — above the certified impeller sizes.
  • EC and DC centrifugal blowers.
  • Cross-flow fans.
  • Gas and combustion blowers.

We do not put these certificate numbers on a model they do not cover. If your file needs CE evidence for a model outside the list, tell us at the enquiry stage: testing has to be arranged and booked, and it adds weeks, not days.

ETL Recognized Component, control number 5022563

Intertek control number 5022563, inside that report’s model rule and power ceiling (DC: up to 600 W at 48 V, 500 W at 24 V, 200 W at 12 V; around 1,100 W on the EC side). The correct wording is ETL Recognized Component, and it covers part of the EC and DC centrifugal range — the models that fall inside the model rules written into the report.

What "recognized component" means for an OEM

  • The blower is evaluated as a component for building into an end product. It is not an approval of a finished appliance.
  • The report carries conditions of acceptability. Your end product is still assessed as a whole, and the conditions are part of that assessment.
  • It is not "UL Listed" and it is not "UL Recognized". We do not use either phrase, and you should not carry either into your file.
  • Send us the exact model code before you design it in. We will confirm in writing whether it sits inside the model rules. Many neighbouring codes do not.
Measured fan performance curve on the test bench software
A measured run: airflow, static pressure, speed, current and input power recorded point by point, to the AMCA 210 method.
Airflow test chamber with bellmouth inlet and transition
The airflow chamber: bellmouth inlet, duct run, transition and settling chamber - the AMCA 210 arrangement the curves come from.
Test bench control cabinet
Control cabinet for the bench: recorder, panel meters and the auxiliary blower control that sets the back pressure at each point.

Air performance

Catalogue air data is tested to the AMCA 210 method.

What we measure: airflow against static pressure across the working range, plus input power, speed, voltage and current at each point. What we report in the catalogue tables: maximum airflow and maximum static pressure. Those are two separate points on the curve and they do not occur together — free delivery gives you the airflow figure, a blocked outlet gives you the pressure figure.

For a duty point you can design against, ask for the P-Q curve for the specific model. Model-level curves and CAD are also on our selection site.

Have a duty point or a drawing?

Airflow, static pressure, voltage and control mode are enough for a first answer.

Sound

Sound is measured in a semi-anechoic room at the Yuyao plant. The chamber is 4.0 x 4.0 x 3.0 m, and its calibration report number is SSD202500326. Catalogue dB(A) values come from that room under our standard test condition. Installed noise will differ, because ducting, mounting and the cabinet around the blower all change it. If sound is a specification you have to hold, ask for measured data on the model and state the condition you need it in.

IP and insulation ratings

Catalogue ratings run IP44 to IP54 with insulation class B or class F, depending on the family. Treat these as design ratings taken from the drawing and the motor specification, checked in our own testing.

We hold no third-party IP certificate and we do not claim one. If your market or your customer needs an IP report from an accredited laboratory, raise it at the quote stage so it can be priced and scheduled.

RoHS and REACH

  • RoHS: certificate KB2207086R01 covers the same LWFA108 to LWFA450 range as the CE set. For the other families we issue a LONGWELL declaration of conformity, based on supplier declarations and incoming material control. That is a declaration, not a test report, and we describe it that way.
  • REACH: we issue a statement against the SVHC candidate list, built from declarations collected from our material suppliers. We do not hold a LONGWELL REACH test report.

End-of-line tests every unit passes

Every unit is tested before it is labelled and packed, whether it was built in our plant or built to our drawings in a partner plant:

  • Earth continuity
  • Dielectric withstand
  • Insulation resistance
  • Powered run test — speed, current, and a check for abnormal noise or vibration

Rotating assemblies are dynamically balanced — on our own machines for what we build here, and to the grade stated per family in the catalogue. Qualification and type testing use a high and low temperature chamber and an ageing rack. More on the equipment and the lines is on the factory page.

What we do not claim

  • Not AMCA certified. Our data is tested to the AMCA 210 method; we do not publish AMCA certified ratings.
  • No third-party air performance report to send you. What we have is our own measured data and the P-Q curve.
  • No UL Listed or UL Recognized mark on the EC and DC range. The wording is ETL Recognized Component, 5022563.
  • No CE on EC, DC, cross-flow or gas and combustion blowers. The CE set is AC forward-curved LWFA108 to LWFA450.
  • No third-party IP certificate. IP44 to IP54 are design ratings.
  • No customer names and no brand references, in either direction. We do not publish who we build for, and we will not publish you.

Warranty is 12 months. Samples of catalogue models ship in 1-3 days and production runs 15-30 days, so an approval question raised at the enquiry stage rarely costs you time, while one raised after the order usually does.

Send us the model code and the approval file you have to satisfy. We will send the certificate and the data that actually covers it, and say plainly where there is a gap. Request a quote

Questions buyers ask

Do your EC and DC blowers have CE?

No. Our CE set (LVD KB2207084L01, EMC KB2207085E01, RoHS KB2207086R01, issued by KTS on 11 July 2022) covers AC forward-curved blowers LWFA108 to LWFA450 only. EC, DC, cross-flow and gas or combustion blowers are outside it, and so are LWFA455 and LWFA500. Part of the EC and DC centrifugal range is instead covered by ETL Recognized Component control number 5022563. If you need CE for a model outside the certified list, say so at the enquiry stage so testing can be arranged.

What does "ETL Recognized Component" mean for my end product?

It means the blower has been evaluated by Intertek as a component to be built into an end product, under control number 5022563, not as a finished appliance. The report carries conditions of acceptability that your end-product assessment has to respect, and your product is still evaluated as a whole. It is not UL Listed and not UL Recognized, and we never use those phrases. Send us the exact model code and we will confirm in writing whether it falls inside the report's model rules.

Can you supply a third-party air performance report?

No. Our air data is tested to the AMCA 210 method, but we are not AMCA certified and we do not have a third-party report to send. What we can give you is our own measured data, including the P-Q curve for a specific model, plus the speed, power, voltage and current at each measured point. Model-level curves and CAD are also on our selection site.

Is the IP rating on the catalogue certified?

No. The catalogue values, IP44 to IP54 with insulation class B or F by family, are design ratings taken from the drawing and the motor specification and checked in our own testing. We hold no third-party IP certificate and do not claim one. If your market or your customer requires an IP report from an accredited laboratory, raise it at the quote stage so it can be priced and scheduled.

What tests does every blower pass before it ships?

Every unit goes through an end-of-line test before it is labelled and packed: earth continuity, dielectric withstand, insulation resistance, and a powered run test that checks speed, current and abnormal noise or vibration. Rotating assemblies are dynamically balanced on our balancing machines. Qualification and type testing additionally use a high and low temperature chamber and an ageing rack. The same rules apply whether the unit was built in our Yuyao plant or built to LONGWELL drawings in a qualified partner plant.

Can you provide RoHS and REACH documents?

Yes, with the distinction stated. RoHS certificate KB2207086R01 is a third-party certificate covering the same LWFA108 to LWFA450 range as the CE set. For other families we issue a LONGWELL declaration of conformity based on supplier declarations and incoming material control, which is a declaration rather than a test report. For REACH we issue a statement against the SVHC candidate list built from material supplier declarations; we do not hold a LONGWELL REACH test report.
